Muse: Courtnee Proctor is a former collegiate athlete that was on scholarship, constantly under pressure to perform and achieve personal goals at every race. Her practices were focused on refining form, strength, and stamina. Leaving no time for mental balance or enjoyment. This then resulted in mental and physical injuries forcing her to leave the sport behind. After long span away from the sport she was introduced to the mindful run understanding that she can run more intentionally rather than competitively and now shows up as an athlete for herself.

Courtnee Proctor is 27 year old Panamanian & Black woman who currently resides in Santa Ana, California teaching as 9th grade algebra teacher and assistant athletic director at Mater Dei High School. She is very down to earth. She’s very zen as she likes to decompress by taking care plants and cat moonlight with incense and sza playing in the background
